Feng Shui Master Daniel Ong sharing on what makes a good Feng Shui kitchen stove
In Residential Feng Shui, the kitchen is actually an important sector for Feng Shui of your property. For good Feng Shui, a property should encompass well-balanced energy of the five elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. Our kitchen is an area where we cook our foods using heat and fire thus representing the fire energy, which directly influences the health of the occupants. Here are some key guidelines on how you should position your stove in the kitchen:-1. Stove and SinkAs you may be aware, our water sink is also located in the kitchen. Hence, there always exists a risk of a direct clash between fire and water energy if the stove and sink are too close to each other creating disharmony. As a cure, you may set the distance between the stove and sink apart by about 1 metre or place a wood island in between the stove and sink.2. Stove and BathroomIn some apartments, there are bathrooms in their kitchens. As you know, the bathroom is an area with an abundance of water. You want to make sure the stove is not either too close to the bathroom or located on the opposite side of the bathroom.3. Stove and DoorIf the kitchen door is facing directly to the stove, energy flow will rush towards the stove creating bad energy which is a bad Feng Shui form.4. Kitchen near to Main DoorIn recent years, I have noticed for newly developed apartments, their kitchen compartments are very near to the main doors of the properties. This is bad for Feng Shui as Qi or energy flow in from the main door would be diverted to the kitchen without circulating to the living hall.As a cure, you may consider closing the kitchen with a door although it is not the most ideal.5. Kitchen or stove located at the North WestIf the kitchen or stove is located in the Northwest sector of the property, it is considered as bad Feng Shui form and it would affect the eldest male of the household in both career and health. Northwest is represented by Qian Gua (乾卦) in the Eight Hexagram or Bagua (八卦).As a cure, you may consider to re-position your stove out of the Northwest sector.Kindly call or whatsapp at 65-91810139 or email at daniel.ong@85metaphysics.com to make an appointment.Photo courtesy of Skitterphoto via Pexels
